wow. what a tough decision…. so silly i know, since she is "just a computer" but i have had good luck in the past when i have named my other macs… so i figured might as well stick with tradition!!
i really liked susan n's suggestion of: "Out of the names you have listed my favorite would be Miss Mac-arita! However that being said I like the name Miss Mac-ario which comes from Greek word meaning "blessed; fortunate". You are blessed for your talents (a creative chick) and fortunate to get the mac you wanted, deserved and loved :) Just a thought…."
my first mac laptop was named titania… my greek friend in college, george helped me with that one… so this caught my eye…. but.. it wasn't "clicing" for me….
and i do agree miss mac-arita is SOOOO me… but do you know… i haven't had a lot of margaritas lately… trying so hard to watch the calories.. and margaritas are KILLER!! sooooo i think i am going to go with…

this past weekend was a fun time had by all, steph came down from NH for our annual create our holiday cards weekend… which turned into my create 5 advent calendars for my bestest girls weekend :)) christy and erin were cranking out the crafty stuff too!!
this is the 5th year i have taught a unique advent calendar…. each year is more different then the last…

i gave all my girls the 1st one i made… and now i wanted them to have this one to add into their holiday traditions with their kids :)
so although i didn't finish my cards… i got these 5 BIG gifts made… and a start on my cards… the design is done… the 300 snowflakes, yes… 300 snowflakes are punched…. and i'm ready to get my glitter on :))

this fall i was lucky enough to be able to get up to NH for a few weekends and enjoy the foliage… thats one thing i miss being on the cape… it just isnt as vibrant (although this year was better then years past)
jimbo raced in the frostbite 250 in groveton NH… he didn't place, but he completed the race with a functioning car, which is always a good thing… hi lumina will be able to run another race after the winter (since it has no windshield) and that will be it's 5th race… which for enduro cars thats a pretty good track record
(my dad put a forsale sign on the car as a joke… he had it off the dolly for a matter of minutes when this guy approached him to buy it hahaha!)
i also learned which mountains my dad associates with who :)
we were heading toward franconia notch and had a beautiful view of mt. lafayette, which is my grandfathers mountain
mt chocorua is my grams
mt. washington is my dads (hes obsessed with the weather conditions up there… i want to send him up to stay at the observatory some day…)
and mt. kearsage is mine (my dad and i hiked, snowmobiled up it.. and we have our names carved on the top by the fire tower "jenny and daddy shurkus" )
i was lucky enough to be able to meet up with these caardvarkians ;) some of the best ladies i know.. and used to work with before i moved to the cape!
i had a TON of fun in tim holtz classes at absolutely everything… always a great time to be inspired and get my creative juices flowing… this couldn't have come at a better time!!
i also had a *wicked* fun time for halloween!! I got to spend time with some of my fave peeps!! liz hosted a fantastic party, cheiron trekked it up here from NYC… fun fun fun times! i haven't dressed up in years… and this year spent 2 nights being a gangsta…. all the while trying to figure out how i can play this part throughout the year ;)

lots of things in the works for the next couple months… and NO i *still* havent named the new mac… horrible i know!!!
1. the new mac is not named… soon i promise, i'm just having a really hard time deciding ;)
now on to the real reason for this post….
remembering watcher… hard to believe it has been 3 years since he passed.
I still think of him every day… he is still very much a part of me and the island ;)
i try not to compare mister harley to him, but i know deep down it happens sometimes…
driving home from ink about it the other note i had a long time to think and compose a blog post in my mind… i had a good cry ;)
and as i sit here now i have decided to not blabber on.. just share some pics :) most of which have a memory, of course… all i will cherish always….
so …. as i watch my dad race today… in the back of my mind he will be…. and thats ok.
note his flat ears…. he was so impressed with this fun crafty time i had planned for us ;)
and this last pic is of watcher with steph. this is the last pic i have of him… how fitting hes sitting with one of my oldest and dearest friends ;)
i know i know… everyone is waiting for my decision for a name.. for the new girl in my life.. but i'm just not ready to DECIDE!!! so i'll do what i do best, and that is procrastinate ;)
i'm excited in the next few days i will be able to share with you pics from my crafty space.. like detailed ones!!! i havent done that since i lived in 284… my friend christy hung out with me sunday night and monday and we worked hard organizing and cleaning!! whooo hooo!! stay tuned…

my oldest friend, and one *super* talented photographer…..
has launched her new website….. and it's pretty rockin' soooo you should totally check it out!!
so i mentioned how in august i splurged and invested in a mac book pro… i have only had {miss mary mac} a lil over 2 years, but at the time i bought her $$ was tight and i didn't get *exactly* what i wanted….. SOOO i gifted {miss mary mac} to my dad (which we are taking baby steps on ;) )
and got the computer i really wanted, deserved, and loved :)
back in august on facebook… there was a looong thread of trying to come up with a name for "her"
and like always i have waited a month (*cough* *cough* kitten= mister harley) and now am taking the time to decide….
but i want your help!!
i have picked the names i liked best… from all the crazy suggestions ;) and want YOU to vote!!
