This week’s Lawnscaping Challenge is all about texture. I first thought of breaking out my embossing templates, but then I got on a creative spurt of using my edge distresser. Those who take my classes know i LOVE my edge distresser :) . So i layered 3 pieces of edge distressed paper as a base. Then i cut out the heart border from belinda’s borders and glued them on the card- adding glossy accents to them (more texture). I discovered that that “thank you heart” from the many thanks set fit perfectly into the Marvy pink, scalloped heart punch, and i felt the scallops added more texture as well (cheiron, can you hear me say that word? )
Happy Monday- Hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend. Labor day weekend is bittersweet to me- summer is coming to an end, always a sad time for me.
I have another lawn fawn card for you for the Lawnscaping Challenge #41. Using this sketch, create a card.
Here is what I have come up with:
Be sure to stop on over at the Lawnscaping Challenge site and see the other creations from the team AND to submit your entry!
This is my take for the {lawn}scaping color splash challenge. I was thinking a lot of white, with a burst of refreshing color- cool and crisp. I had fun playing with Lawn Fawn’s belinda’s borders for the first time and I had never inked up the thank you sentiment from hello friend. I really love how these challenges are inspiring me to MAKE STUFF! Are you playing a long with any fun challenges? share a link with me in the comments!
