the start of an art journal
This is my art journal, in an old book. It is in the beginning stages, and none of these pages are done. I am just PLAYING – I’m not criticizing myself, I’m not judging how they look. It is very freeing, and I’m enjoying it a lot!! I talked about where/how I was inspired in this post here. I hope you enjoy looking at these pages, and hopefully I will inspire YOU to play and be free!! I enjoy the fact that there is text already on the pages, so you don’t have an empty page just staring at you. Since it is an older book, I have been re-enforcing the spine with some old 7gypsies book binders tape I have had in my stash. I also have been tearing pages out here and there since the pages I am creating have some thickness to them, I need to make room so it will close a little bit.

more {love} to share, and a winner!
When cleaning out my crafty space and creating “blind boxes” to sell, I found these pattern papers from American Crafts that I purchased last winter in hopes of making some Valentines for some special people. It only took me a year to complete this task, no harm done. These were fun and fairly quick to make. I used my favorite Martha Stewart border punch, and added more detail to my scallop hearts by punching the teeny holes along the scallops. I also realized how many buttons i have when i was cleaning out, so pretty much everything I create lately is getting a button or three!
Now onto the winner from the {love} to my blog readers post, I really enjoyed reading and seeing all the things you guys {love} thank you for taking the time to post a comment!
I used the AppBox Pro app on my iphone, it has a random number generator, so I put in how many comments I go and let it do the hard work of picking a winner, this is what i got:
