I’m BACK!! I took a little hiatus from doing the Lawnscaping Challenges, while i was packing, moving and unpacking. But, I am back- and what better challenge to ease myself back into it then a CAS challenge! (Clean and Simple) I have to apologize for the picture, it isn’t the greatest. Still figuring out where/how the best way to take pics in my new place.
My crafty stuff IS unpacked… although I don’t really have a flow of working yet, and not sure where everything is is where it will stay- but for now I DO know where my Lawn Fawn stamps are, my washi tape and my watercolor pencils, so Voila! I whipped up this fun card! Hope you will play along with the challenge with us ;) It’s easy! And all the details are here.
We are sponsored this week by Lawn Fawn, and the winner will get to pick a stamp of their choice!
Here is a detail shot of the letters, I watercolored them then added ultrafine glitter with my quickie glue pen. I then cut them out. I haven’t splurged for the lawn cuts for this set yet, so below i linked the lawn cuts AND my fave scissors and x-acto that i used on this card.
Adding texture onto a card can be done in a variety of ways. I look forward to seeing the creative ways you will add texture on the card you are going to create and enter our latest challenge over on the Lawnscaping Challenge blog ;) Simon Says is sponsoring this challenge, you could win a gift certificate!
For my card I added texture using: an edge distresser, liquid applique, ultrafine glitter, layers of paper, googly eyes, twine and foam tape. Also I used a Versafine Smokey Gray ink pad to stamp the bunny, it’s not as harsh as black- too give a softer look on this animal since it is white.
Hope you enjoy this Easter card I created. Remember Easter is early this year, in March.

Hello! One thing I find that I enjoy in certain stamp companies is how you can put together cute little scenes using all of their stamps, or even better stamps from just one set. Lawn Fawn sets are *perfect* for this! Using one of their new CHA sets I created this fun little spring scene. I took a bunch of detail shots to show off all my fussy cutting and so you can see all the dimension. Can’t wait to see what scenes you come up with for this latest Lawnscaping Challenge! You could win some loot from Lawn Fawn… how fabulous is that!?
I absolutely LOVE the warm colors of Valentine’s Day. The pinks, and reds and creams- so soft. I had a lot of fun making this card for the Lawnscaping Challenge. Wonder who I will send it to… ;) Can’t wait to see all the Valentines you create and submit for our challenge! See below for some detail shots so you can see the glitter and dimension on this card.

For the next Lawnscaping Challenge we have for you some Winter Wonderland cards. I’m not a huge fan of winter, shocker i know… but i DO love my blues and snowflakes! I thought the fox from critters in the woods was perfect for a snowy scene. Be sure to check out the other girls creations over on the blog, and share with us your winter wonderland creation so you can have a chance of winning some Lawn Fawn goodies! I decided to add some liquid applique to create the snowy scene- love puffing it up with a heat tool!
Happy New Year everyone! I have a blog post coming soon on my thoughts of 2012 and my one little word for 2013- but for now I want to wish a Happy 2nd Birthday to Lawnscaping Challenge Blog! We decided to celebrate with a party theme challenge- how fun is that!? :) Create a party themed card, tag, layout- whatever you would like and link a pic of it over on the challenge blog! This month is sponsored by Simon Says Stamp and you could win a gift certificate from them! Can’t wait to see what everyone submits!

Well, this is the last Lawnscaping Challenge for the year. I have had so much fun doing these challenges over the past 5 months :) This time around it is “Make it Shine” and anyone who has been in one of my classes knows how much i *love* glitter! So i challenged myself to put on as many glittery elements on this card as I could (with it still looking nice)
This challenge is sponsored by Lawn Fawn- who doesn’t want to win some goodies from them?!
Be sure to pop on over to the lawnscaping challenge blog to see all of the design teams inspiration, and submit your entry as well!
Time for another inspiring Lawnscaping Challenge. This time it is a color challenge- kraft, turquoise, and red! I love this color combo, and it is perfect for this time of year! Be sure to pop on over to the Lawnscaping Blog to see all the other inspiration AND to join in on the fun of this challenge!

Note: I will be posting my “I am thankful” post later today, so be sure to check back!
Today’s Challenge from Lawnscaping is to “dust off” some supplies you haven’t used in awhile. Hope you will play along, but submitting your card over on the Lawnscapings Blog! Remember, you have a chance to win a fun prize, and this month it is from Simon Says Stamp.
Also check out our guest designer this week, my friend Cheiron. She lives in NJ and is dealing with the aftermath of flooding in her home, so maybe you could leave her some kind words to pick up her spirit.
For my card I dusted off quite a few things.
1. Snowman stamps- I loooovvveee snowman and snowflakes, but can’t stand winter. Go figure. I used to teach a holiday card class *every* month so I used snoman quite often, but haven’t used them since last holiday season
2. Felt- I used to use felt a lot in my papercrafting, and have hoarded all kinds of fun colors, so I thought i would play with that again
3. Brads- I have a zillion brads in all sizes, colors and as seen here even glitter! Haven’t used them in awhile so I incorporated them into this card
4. faux snow- again not a HUGE need for this unless you are working on holiday cards, so it was time to break it out again! (note: i use glossy accents to adhere it to my card)
5. Glitter Spica pens- my friend l-e-s-a used these on a card she had for a swap we did a couple weeks ago, and she reminded me how much i loved them. Nice to add a little sparkle, but not have to wait for anything to dry. I used them on the snowman’s nose, heart and buttons
Hope you enjoy this card!!
