So today’s tgih (thank god it’s harley) post is about how mister harley is doing in his new surroundings. I get more questions on how he is doing then how i like the place, so I thought it’s fitting I answer that first and then later have a post about my thoughts on my new space.
Mister H definitely knew something was up as I was packing the island- sticking close to me and looking concerned each time i left. The moving day was pretty traumatic for him… he had to stay in the bathroom while we loaded the uhaul, then on a very long drive (which he hates) and then back into another bathroom while we unloaded the uhaul. All he has ever known is the very quiet island, and now he was in an apartment building with noises all around, and in the city.
For the first few days he was very jumpy, and if I wasn’t home he was sleeping under my bed. At night he started sleeping right at my shoulders, not at the foot of the bed as usual. He really wanted nothing to do with the massive windows, which i thought he’d love. I loved however watching him climb on top of the cabinets, the top of my food pantry becoming one of his favorite snoozing spots, he can see everything from up there! As he got a bit more comfortable, and playing with his toys… it was comical watching him slip and slid on the hardwood floors.
Almost a month later, he is settling in very well. He still hangs out with me in the bathroom as I get ready in the morning, and he will race you in there to make sure you turn the faucet on for him. Just like when we were at the island.
He loves the island in the kitchen, since its in the center of everything and he can see what i am up to. It also is where my stove top is- so i have just vowed whenever i DO cook.. to wipe it down very well. Mister Harley is spoiled, and it’s hard for me to say no to him.
I bought him one of the cat grass trays from the pet store, hoping that will curb his cravings for when he used to much it outside at the island. He has also started to look outside the massive windows a bit more. He is still the messiest kitty when eating and using his potty, and still into everything… even helping build some of my new furniture

thank god its harley! (tgih) ;) and even better that it’s his 5th birthday!!! I am all moved into my new place (more on that later) so i have time to bring back my tgih posts on fridays and blog in general again, yippeee!
Today is all about celebrating mister harley’s 5th birthday!! i can’t believe he is already 5. I know how many fans he has so I thought I would include you guys in his birthday celebration. You guys may remember for his 3rd birthday we had a little fun, sharing greetings for him and then HE picked a prize winner. I thought it would be fun to do something like that again. I will be doing a little raffle in honor of his special day!! Create a birthday card, just for him. Post it on your blog or email me a pic (or if you’d like you can mail it to me) …. if you post it on your blog, email me a link… i will put everyone’s names in a hat and draw some winners for some crafty goodness!!

I wanted to send you all a message, wishing you a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I hope you enjoy your time with family and friends.
I also wanted to take this time to thank you for all your support and friendships over the past year. I am truly grateful that I still get to teach papercrafting classes, and without your support that wouldn’t be the case.
I am looking forward to 2013. I just know it’s going to be a good year in my creative life, my “big girl job” life and my personal life. I wish you the same in yours!
November 27: today i am thankful for my this sweet boy. I know I already posted about Mister Harley this month, but he is used to getting posts almost every friday, so I thought it was fitting to do another post just for him. Plus, I just got home after 5 days in NH, and although i had a ton of fun… got to see most of my girls and just relax – I missed this little boy. It is pretty clear to me that he missed me as well ;) He is super snuggly and wicked chatty, two characteristics that are not the norm for him. I decided to get mister h just shy of a year from watchers passing, and I am thankful for that decision everyday. It’s not really a decision I remember thinking through or about everyday, but i think subconsciously I was thinking about it. I got in the car, drove to the MSPCA in Centerville not really knowing I would come home with this handsome, sweet kitty. I enjoy sharing him with everyone as well- he has more fans from all over the world. He gets fun presents in the mail, and more love on any photos I post on instagram, or on facebook, or here on my blog – he even has his own twitter account (that i have nothing to do with). He is one special kitty that i am very thankful for. Note: Be sure to watch on fridays where i do my “tgih – thank god its harley” posts- they usually are filled with adorable pictures and funny stories about him.

November 2: today i am thankful for my snuggles with mister harley. I know you all know how cute and handsome he is. And he certainly has personality… but he’s not much of a snuggler. Only on his terms :) so those times when i need some snuggles and he senses that OR he needs snuggles and hops up into my lap- i’m a happy kitty momma

October 16th came and went. This week was super busy, and I was a bit under the weather- but I still was thinking of watcher, as I do often. I posted a little bit on fb, and then wanted to capture a picture of his urn, and the awesome pic my friend Jen got of him and i just a few months before he passed. mister harley has always been drawn to his urn. I often found him sitting next to watcher’s urn on the book case, or laying the same exact way in the same place watcher would. I have posted pics of it before on here- it just touches me a certain way. I know watcher is still around- making sure i’m ok :) ok.. enough crazy talk… just wanted to share a few pics, and the link to the post i did remembering watcher
