stamping

I’m *wicked* excited to share with you that I have been chosen to be on the Lawnscaping’s Design Team!! I love the adorableness of the Lawn Fawn sets, and the quality of their clear stamps is top notch!! I was excited enough to be teaching with them, but now to add on top of that to be playing along with the super talented lawnscaping team is AWESOME! I hope I will inspire you to play along with their challenges as well. Check out the announcement post over on the blog, and be sure to welcome the other “new girls” too! We don’t “officially” start until July, but I thought I would share a couple Lawn Fawn cards with you anyways-

This is my art journal, in an old book. It is in the beginning stages, and none of these pages are done. I am just PLAYING – I’m not criticizing myself, I’m not judging how they look. It is very freeing, and I’m enjoying it a lot!! I talked about where/how I was inspired in this post here. I hope you enjoy looking at these pages, and hopefully I will inspire YOU to play and be free!! I enjoy the fact that there is text already on the pages, so you don’t have an empty page just staring at you. Since it is an older book, I have been re-enforcing the spine with some old 7gypsies book binders tape I have had in my stash. I also have been tearing pages out here and there since the pages I am creating have some thickness to them, I need to make room so it will close a little bit.

I participated in the Hero Arts Scramble this weekend over on the Flickr group. My friend Cheiron was hosting, and my friend Glenda and I met up in a google+ hangout to stamp together. We were given the challenge to create a card for OURSELVES using all of our favorite items. A card just for lil ol me!? ok!!! Teal, teal, and a lil more teal… kraft…. a lil bling, letters and fonts are a love of mine. I love office supplies, hence the grid and punched border I used. AND the best of all “Saturday” my favorite day of the week!!! (see below for a full listing of the supplies I used)

Thank you for hosting Cheiron!

Hey everyone! I’m super excited to let you know I will now be offering classes with Lawn Fawn stamps!!! These fun, whimsical sets are sure to inspire you- and I can’t wait to design a TON of wicked fun cards with them (and share with you of course!)

My first classes with these stamps will be on the Cape, May 16th 6:30-8:30p and at Ink About It Thursday June 21st 6:30-8:30p (more details here) Hope to see you at one of these offerings!

everything is going to be all right hero arts card

I love the patterned clouds in the Hero Arts/ Studio Calico Set – Hooray  . I have made so many cards with that one set alone, and I’m not done yet! I also have been loving the Envelope pattern background stamp, that a few friends talked me into getting. I made the “rain drops” with my quickie glue pen and ultra fine crystal glitter – so fun! And for this design it only seemed fitting that I used gray for the sentiment so i grabbed my Versafine in Smokey Gray.

Another card inspired by the challenges over on the Hero Arts Blog. Super simple, but I LOVE how it turned out! Are you going to play a long? It’s wicked fun!

Hooray Hero Arts Sketch Challenge Card

happy friday card

In honor of tomorrow being friday, I thought I would post this card!

I played with some creative girls in a google+ hangout last friday, and created this card. I had been all over MA and NH so was a bit tired, aka lazy- and only wanted to use what was within arms reach. Paper and embellishments scraps worked well here! After I saw my friend Cheiron’s card with the “weekdays” Hero Arts set, I was like “great i’ll never top that” – but i’m happy with what i ended up with.

I have had good intentions of trying out some of Hero Art’s Challenges for awhile now, but it just hasn’t happened.. this month though i have done a few cards!!

Here is the first one I designed for the Sunshine and Showers challenge

A card made with hero arts stamps that reads every little thing is going to be alright

On this card I used

Memory Box cards and pattern papers
Hero Arts/ Studio Calico Set – Hooray

I decided to try my first moxie fab challenge … and boy, is it a doozie! I’m all for a challenge, and this certainly didn’t hold anything back. The boldness, the color combos are all out of my comfort zone… but you know what? That is what is best about trying challenges, they open up your creative brain to new ideas!

I was immediately inspired by the bold wall paper, and happy to see a splash of teal (of course) and last but not least i loved the striking clean black and white pattern. Hope you enjoy the card I created!
