Lawnscaping Challenge #80: mini | - {creative chick}

Hey everyone! I am here with the next Lawnscaping Challenge! This time it is all about “mini”. I had plans of making a set of mini cards, and then I had the great idea of creating a mini book out of Lawn Fawns Stitched Journaling Card. When thinking of a subject for my mini book I was browsing through photos, and of course was drawn to all the cute pictures of Mister Harley- so it was decided!

I sometimes have the tendency to over complicate my projects. This project started out that way. I had all kinds of Lawn Fawn stamps pulled, different papers etc. As I started to create this the simplicity took over, and I really liked how it was turning out. Now that it is all done I am really pleased with it. I enjoy the white space and different placement of photos and tiny hearts. I LOVE that hearts lawn cut from Lawn Fawn.

Each page is cut from the Lawn Fawn stitched journaling card, I double sided the pages, and this helped make the pages a bit stronger. When designing the pages I figured out where I wanted the pattern papers to be so I then used washi tape to adhere the paper in the right place on the stitched journaling die before die-cutting. This way the stitching shows up on the patterns as well. If I were to do this project again, or a similar project I would do the same to pictures as well.

    Fantastic way to use the journaling card die. I just recently discovered it and am thinking about scrapbooking with project life. Can you tell me if this die is true to the 3 X 4 project life pocket size? I’ve seen a few out there that aren’t the right size. Thanks for your help.
